How To Get Out Of A Panic Attack

anxiety panic attack May 07, 2024

Need a quick way to reduce panic symptoms? Pant like a dog!

When anxiety symptoms are starting to make you feel panicky, it is important to breathe from your diaphragm. Breathing from the diaphragm will fill your lungs the most with air and begin to relax you. It helps to reduce lactic acid build up, which causes muscle tension. So it is important to breathe deeply from your diaphragm if you are beginning to feel panic symptoms.

One way to ensure that you are breathing from your diaphragm is to pant like a dog! If you are panting, than you are breathing for your diaphragm.

Panic attack symptoms can include rapid breathing, sweatiness, racing thoughts, and rapid heart beat. Some people even feel nauseous. Sometimes, you may begin to have these symptoms and don’t quite have a full-blown panic attack yet. So it is very important to begin breathing from your diaphragm right away if you start having any panic symptoms.

You can see if you are breathing from your diaphragm, because if you put your hand on your midsection, it will move in and out, but your chest will not move up and down.

Remember, if you begin to feel significant stress, anxiety or panic symptoms, breathing from your diaphragm can help you feel better! And a great way to learn to begin breathing from your diaphragm is to pant like a dog!
